I ALWAYS USE CORNSTARCH AND A LITTLE WATER TO THICKEN MY GRAVIES, BUT IF I DON'T HAVE ANY, I USE FLOUR. I PUT A TEASPOON OR TWO IN A PINT JAR..ADD 1/4 TO 1/2 CUP OF WATER. PUT THE LID ON AND SHAKE THE JAR VIGOROUSLY TILL FLOUR MIXTURE IS SMOOTH...ADD FLOUR OR WATER TO CONSISTANCY...THIS WAS HOW MY MOM USED TO DO IT...
